Jim Cruwys
Owner / Business Manager / Educator
Hi, I’m Jim Cruwys
A proud co-owner of Bush Babies Childcare. Before joining the childcare industry, I worked in the corporate world with the Department of Defence and then Telstra. I then spent 4.5 years traveling across Europe in a camper van, an experience that gave me a fresh outlook on life and a deep appreciation for community and connection.
At Bush Babies, we focus on child-led learning in a nurturing environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and independence. As part of the Blue Mountains community, I’m dedicated to creating a welcoming space where families and children thrive.
I look forward to welcoming you to the Bush Babies family!

Robyn Hayward
Owner / Nominated Supervisor / Childcare Director
Hi, I am Robyn
I currently hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care, and I am completing my Early Childhood Teaching Degree. I have been at Bush Babies now for 15 years.
I have both of my children at Bush Babies. I help out in the rooms from time to time; however, I will mainly be in the office.
I enjoy watching the children grow & learn, but especially love the cuddles that the children give me every day.
My weekends consist of spending time with my Family, gardening (I love hot chili), and playing ball on Sunday afternoons. I also enjoy fishing, hiking, and anything adventurous.
Thank you for bringing your children to Bush Babies for us to care for… We love to teach them, watching them learn and grow.

I’m a warm and dedicated educator who brings creativity, patience, and genuine care to my role as a supervisor at Bush Babies OOSH. I hold a Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support and am currently studying for my Diploma in School-Aged Education and Care. I’m passionate about creating a safe, inclusive space where every child feels supported, valued, and confident to be themselves.
Outside of work, I enjoy sewing, reading, and getting stuck into creative projects. I love using these interests to inspire fun, hands-on activities for the children in my care. I value strong relationships, meaningful conversations, and being part of a team that helps kids thrive.

Shae Hurley
Responsible Person
I am 20 years old and an OOSH supervisor for OOSH @ Warrimoo. I have just completed my Certificate III in early childhood education and care at Bush Babies Childcare. I like to consider myself a dedicated and energetic worker who is known for my reliability and positive attitude. I am very passionate about creating a safe and engaging environment for the children at OOSH. I thrive on building strong connections with the children and their families.
I have been really enjoying working with the children at the primary school level because I find joy in supporting their growth, encouraging creativity, and helping them build confidence through fun and meaningful experiences. My patience and enthusiasm make me a natural role model and trusted leader among both students and staff.
In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy some quiet time reading a book or engaging in a creative task such as knitting, drawing, and painting. I spend most of my weekends either babysitting my beautiful nephew or taking care of my lizard.

Grace Salmon
Responsible Person
Hi, my name is Grace. I have been working in before and after school hours care since I was 16, starting off with work experience. I fell in love with the job, which inspired me to do my Certificate 4 in school-aged care throughout my senior years in high school.
I’m about to begin my diploma in school-aged care. It is very rewarding to see the children hit their milestones and build confidence throughout their years at OOSH. I look forward to meeting you and your children.

Chloe Stoeckle
Educator
Hi, I’m Chloe, and I’ve had the privilege of being an educator at Bush Babies OOSH in Warrimoo for just over a year. Every day here is a rewarding experience, especially as I witness the growth and development of each child. It’s truly inspiring to see them evolve into confident and curious individuals during their time with us.
Outside of my role at OOSH, I’m a full-time university student pursuing a degree in Environmental Management. When I’m not studying or working, I enjoy hiking, running, baking, and spending quality time with my dog, Luna. These activities help me stay balanced and energized, allowing me to bring my best self to my work with the children.
I’m excited to continue being a part of the Bush Babies OOSH team and look forward to supporting the children as they explore, learn, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment

Esther Masters
Early Childhood Teacher/ Educational Leader
I was born and raised in the Philippines. I have nine siblings, yes, nine, and being number 5 has given me the opportunity to develop certain skills and has inspired me to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher.
I was a licensed primary school teacher back in the Philippines, and I taught 6 to 12-year-old age groups. I came to Australia in 2010 and completed Cert 3 and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care through TAFE. I also finished my Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cultural Analysis from Western Sydney University in 2014. In 2016 I completed my Bachelor of Education Birth to Five Years through Charles Sturt University.
I have worked at Bush Babies since 2010, and it is safe to say that Bush Babies truly feels like my second home. I find this job very rewarding considering how much cuddles, and I love yous I get throughout the day from the children. Research shows that the first eight years of a child’s life are a critical period for development and I am honored to be a part of a team that provides developmentally stimulating, meaningful learning experiences and a nurturing environment for your children.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, bush walking with my husband, Trev and of course, being a Filipino; I love “karaoke” too even though I am not very good at it.

Bailey Brown
Educator
I am currently studying for a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. I’ve been part of the Bush Babies team for just over a year and primarily work in the Blossom Room, where I love fostering a fun, nurturing environment for the children.
Growing up as the middle child of five siblings, I’ve always been surrounded by family and have a natural connection with children. I also engage with many young kids at my church, where I enjoy supporting and playing with them.
Outside of work, I have a passion for rock climbing — both indoor and outdoor — and enjoy spending time playing tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons and Warhammer 40k with friends. Cooking for my family is another activity I love, blending my creativity and care into every meal.
Thank you for choosing Bush Babies to care for your little ones. It’s a joy to be part of their growth and learning journey.
