My name is Maddy. I’ve been working at Bush Babies OOSH since August 2020. I have extensive experience in childcare including running my own family day care business for over 7 years. I have my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and currently studying Training and Assessment.
I lived and travelled throughout the UK and Europe working as a nanny in my late 20’s.
I have lived in Emu Heights for 11 years after working in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney for many years. I live with my husband and 8 year old daughter.
My name is Ryan Elliott, I am 21 years old and currently working towards my certificate III in early childhood education and care. Throughout high school I volunteered at local primary schools helping with athletic carnivals, cross countries, etc. I always have known childcare was the route I wanted to take. I have already thoroughly enjoyed my time at Bush Babies and the OOSH, feeling privileged to be able to make connections and help the kids through their journeys. Please feel free to come and say hello, I would love to get to know you and your family.
My name is Madelyn Kroon, but I usually go by Maddy. I am 21 years old and am currently working towards getting my Cert III in children’s services, whilst taking a break from my university studies. I enjoy reading and paddle boarding in my free time.
I have always enjoyed caring for children having previously worked as a babysitter for a number of years throughout my time in high school and university. I am thrilled to be working at Bush Babies, watching your children learn and grow, as well as getting to know you and your family.
Hi, I’m Esther Masters, and I was born and raised in the Philippines. I have nine siblings, yes nine 😊 and being number 5 has given me the opportunity to develop certain skills and has inspired me to fulfil my dream to become a teacher.
I was a licensed primary school teacher back in the Philippines, and I taught 6-12 age groups. I came to Australia in 2010 and completed Cert 3 and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care through TAFE. I also finished Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cultural Analysis from Western Sydney University in 2014. In 2016 I completed my Bachelor of Education Birth to Five Years through Charles Sturt University.
I have worked at Bush Babies since 2010, and it is safe to say that Bush Babies truly feels like my second home. I find this job very rewarding and love the many cuddles I get throughout the day from your children. Research shows that the first eight years of a child’s life are a critical period for development and I am honoured to be a part of a team that provides developmentally stimulating, meaningful learning experiences and a nurturing environment for your children.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, bushwalking with my husband, Trev and of course being a Filipino; I love “karaoke” too even though I am not very good at it 😊.
I am Cheryl and I am the Director, I have been running Bush Babies for the last 25 years.
I have had children come through who I taught years ago, who now bring me their children to care for at Bush Babies.
The families and community really make me happy to still be caring for children at Bush Babies. You can find me mainly in the Office these days, however I do enjoy getting out to chat with Parents and play with the Children.
